Linda Gold, Filton Vet 4 Pets - As reptiles become more popular as pets we see them more often at Filton Vets4Pets. I attended the course at Reptile Zone to improve my reptile knowledge and therefore provide a better level of care and advice for our clients and patients.

Pete provided an an excallent basic understanding of a range of reptiles, how to house, handle and care for them and how to recognise and prevent common illnesses. He also helped us understand how researching the origin of any reptile can allow us to work out how to provide the best care from them.

The course included a practical session in which we learnt how to handle various animals in the shop.

The course was an excallent standard, informative and a lot of fun. Deffinatley worth doing for anyone who wants to care for reptiles.

Basic Reptile Course

For keepers and professionals who want to learn more about captive environments this course explains Reptiles and their keeping in a much more detailed way.

Dwal Training

For those people who wish to learn how to keep and handle Venomous Snakes this course covers theory and practical cage maintenance. For every DWA applicant this course is a must.

Crocodile Training

When wanting a Crocodile it is a good idea to learn how to handle and care for this beautiful creature. This course covers both. A must for those wanting to keep a Crocodilian.

These courses will teach you on a variety of subjects, going into depth on a theory basis as well as push your boundarys handling.

From Chameleons to DWA, from Boas to pythons, breeding and sexing Boids. UVB and its importance. Caging and housing and basic taxonomy. So much on this Course it will make your Brain ache.

We do a number of courses which can help in trying to get a job working with Venomous Snakes and Crocodiles. Each Course can be extended to give you more handling practise and a certificate can be issued to be able to show future employers along with a reference from us. Crocodile Course

Our Crocodile course teaches you alot about working and keeping these awesome animals. Different techniques

different characters different temperments. Things Crocodiles like and things Crocodiles dont like.

Our courses are designed to be done in both a practical way and theory. Learning about these Reptiles and having the opportunity to work with them in a safe encironment. How to train how to feed, enclosure design and what councils are looking for in relation to having a DWAL. Each course can have extra days added to the course click on the number of days you wish to have. They dont have to be done together.

Venomous Snake Course

As on of the largest collections of venomous snakes in the country, We are able to teach and give advice on keeping and working with Venomous snakes as safely as one can do. We have species which suit beginners to species which are regarded as formula 1 species. All people attending a venomous snake course have to read our book and taker a three paper exam on venomous snake keeping as part of our health and safety policy.
